The Nazareth Cross

The Nazareth Cross Project is a social and economic project to strengthen the local community of Nazaret and preserved its Nazareth history for the future generation. This Non-Profit Nazareth Cross Foundation will utilize the resources for the betterment of Nazareth township. The project is governed by prominent Christian leaders of its community to ensure transparency and integrity of the project.
As a guarantee for the indigenous character of the Nazareth Cross project, it is managed and developed by the Foundation of Nazareth, a group of local leaders and clergymen: Bishop Riah Abu Al-Asal, Dr. Jaber Khoury, Dr. Mary Mashour, Adv. Elias Shukry, Mr. Adi Bajaly, Mr. Talal Musalam (C.P.A), Mr. Rashid Safurry, Mr Nizar Bulos, and Hisham Saad (C.P.A).The Chairman of the Foundation is Bishop Riah Abu Al-Asal.

Up to 15-20% of the proceeds collected will target accredited Christian and communal institutions with a particular focus on Nazareth’s living future –the education of its children and young people. More than 40% of the funds will be advanced towards micro-business loans to promote women-owned businesses, small enterprise and tourism. All these efforts will strengthen the city of Nazareth Jerusalem and provides its people with a vibrant economy and social culture.
